The mascara running down my cheeks,

Was proof of all the pain,

I felt inside,

I couldn’t seem to stop the rain.

I was always fighting a hard battle,

I always felt alone,

As if no one was on my side,

I was all on my own.

I heard the galloping of the horse,

Coming closer and closer to me,

He got down from his horse,

And gone on one knee.

He asked me to love him,

And never leave,

I saw love,

And I began to believe.

Since we’ve been together,

He’s dried all my tears,

And fought away,

All my fears.

I’ll love him forever,

And know he will stay,

By my side,

And love me in every way.
